Lee County E911 Facility Assessment
CPS produced a spatial needs assessment and room-by-room space allocation for Lee County’s future E911 facility, including probable development costs and grant information across a twenty-year planning horizon.

What we did
The Center for Public Safety conducted a spatial needs assessment for Lee County, Mississippi’s future E911 facility, delivering probable development costs and grant information alongside the space program. CPS created a detailed room-by-room space allocation to guide future design, developed from information gathered through structured questionnaires and a site visit. The firm established cost figures from current regional construction data calibrated to Lee County’s specific conditions rather than generic benchmarks, and applied experience from comparable emergency communications projects nationwide to ensure appropriate allocation for the critical elements of an E911 facility. The assessment addressed both current requirements and projected needs across a twenty-year period. The result is a comprehensive programming document the county can carry directly into design, giving Lee County a defensible basis for planning a facility that will meet the community’s emergency communication needs for the planning horizon, together with the cost and funding information needed to pursue the project.
